Q. I've been brewing for at least a few days, and air pockets have formed underneath my culture - it seems to be separating itself from the liquid below it?

A. This happens often and is normal. Air can get trapped in between the culture and the Kombucha brew. To fix, simply reach into your jar and push the culture down gently with your finger. It should be resting on the top of the liquid now. Make sure it is in a location with enough airflow, typically when these air pockets develop its because the culture isn't getting enough oxygen.
